Adopt a Pet

Adopt a PetMotley Zoo Animal Rescue is a purely volunteer-based organization; we do not have a brick and mortar shelter– our animals are housed in private foster homes- and an approved application is required before meeting our available pets!

We specialize in quality above quantity, making all efforts to match the right pet with the right home, to ensure that both you and your new pet will live happy lives together.

Currently, we only have dogs and cats in our care, but if you’re interested in fostering- or know someone who would like to take in other animals, please email hidden; JavaScript is required.

Our process:

  • Tell us about you. Let us know about your family, what you’re looking for and any of our current animals available you’re interested in finding out more about or meeting.
  • We’ll send an application for you to fill out. Once we review it, we’ll follow up with any additional questions or to confirm your approval, and arrange a meeting.
  • Upon meeting, we request that all family members and other pets (particularly dogs) be included in the introduction to ensure that everyone has a chance to decide if it’s the right match for one another.
  • We all discuss what is the best decision as a result of the meeting- and then we approve the adoption, or continue to help you find your best match!

For application requests, please contact us at email hidden; JavaScript is required with “Application” in the subject line – followed by any pet in particular you’re interested in.

Please keep in mind, we will process all applications in the order received, as quickly as we can. As we are an all volunteer organization,  please understand that this can take a few days, but we try our best to keep you informed of the latest, as we’re working through the approvals! We don’t want to keep you- or our pets- waiting…but with all the work we do behind the scenes, sometimes the days are long and time flies! Please be patient, and understand we are here to serve you and our animals the best we can.
